The Apostolic Tradition
Hippolytus
This edition of Hippolytus' The Apostolic Tradition was translated and edited by Burton Scott Easton in 1934 for the work entitled The Apostolic Tradition of Hippolytus. The copyright was not renewed and is now in the public domain.
In the print edition the verse numberings for each chapter were located as sidenotes and not as supserscripts, thereby making it difficult to see when a verse actually began and ended. In the online edition I placed these side note verse numbers after the word they were adjecent to in the print edition (which was the last word in the line). This unfortunately gives the impression that some verses begin in the middle of a sentence or thought, but it could not be easily avoided.
The sidenotes that are still present in the translation indicate whether the text comes from the Greek, Latin, Sahidic, Ethiopic, or the liturgical work entitled The Testament of our Lord. See the Introduction for more information.

Update-3/20/09
I have not been able to satisfactoraly format the footnotes into HTML so I have added links to a PDF that contains the full document and footnotes. I have also added a PDF file that contains the scanned images of the book itself.
Update-10/11/10
I have deleted the HTML pages and simply left the digitized pdf and the pdf with original scans.
